The Tennessee Jump$tart Coalition is comprised of over 37 organizations, government agencies, financial institutions, and corporations. Working together we are able to join forces to improve the personal financial literacy of Tennessee's youth. Mission:
To improve the financial literacy of Tennessees consumers, with a special focus on the states youth, through the support and strengthening of current financial literacy programs and the development of new and innovative ones.
Objectives:
1) Raise public awareness.
2) Enhance professional development of Tennessee educators (school and nontraditional).
3) Promote membership, communication and cooperation among coalition members.
4) Establish firm organizational structure including budget.
5) Develop and promote personal finance legislation.
